Mind Over Matter

I’m all in!

Do you ever wondered why you care so much when no one else seems to care?

Do you feel like you go all in with four of a kind feeling like a winner just to be called down by a straight flush?

How is it possible to feel like you’re making the right decision in the moment just to get run over by the transfer truck of reality filled with seniority and “good enough” mentalities?

In my experience, I have found that very few people care about their jobs, coworkers, and/or customers as much as I care. The Lord asks us to work as if we’re working for Him. Yet, I often see a lackadaisical work mindset requiring just enough to keep a job but not quite enough work to merit any form of praise or raise.

That life isn’t about making a suitable decision for the situation – it’s about making a passable decision. Is this going to pass evaluation? Is it going to pass as good enough? Is it going to pass as acceptable for the task?

Is passing as acceptable or good enough really what you want to strive for? Or do you want to strive for excellence in all that you do?

‬‬“Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.”‭‭ – Colossians‬ ‭3:23-24‬ ‭ESV‬‬

Mind Over Matter Mantra: I work heartily in whatever I do as if working for the Lord and not for men.

Friends, don’t settle for mediocrity. Don’t settle for just enough. Work hard so you will be rewarded well for all that you do.
